UNA-Spain has been recognized by the United Nations as the principal nexus between the Organization and the Civil Society, and it acts as the focal point of the Regional Center of the UN.

This Transparency policy is the materialization of the strong commitment of the United Nations Association of Spain with the integrity and transparency of its activity. All the people involved with it, especially the Board, are committed to fulfill it and to transmit it among their groups of interest.

Public commitment.

The Board prompts, through the Integrity and Transparency Management System and the policies and actions associated to it, the inclusion of these values and its philosophy and its spreading.

Good management.

Professional relations are based on the respect to the constitutional values and principles, the law, and the dignity of people.

Integrity.

The Association acts with absolute independency and relies on the necessary mechanisms to avoid any kind of third-part interference and to assure its objectivity and professional impartiality.

Confidentiality.

All the employees fulfill the professional secrecy and the Data Protection laws, keeping the confidentiality of the information regarding the association and its partners.

Communication.

The association has simple and accessible mechanisms for our groups of interest to ask for information or denounce situations of conflict of interest.

Transparency.

Access to the annual accounts is granted to all those members of the association who demand it. In addition, through the Global Compact yearly report, we communicate our activities regarding Human Rights, labour regulation, environment, and fighting corruption.

Continuous improvement.

Our transparency policy is inspected every year and whenever it is considered to be necessary, due to relevant modifications on the activities or the structure of UNA-Spain or due to legal changes.
