For the defense of freedom of expression and the fight for the liberation of persecuted writers. Also for the defense of linguistic rights and the promotion of Catalan literature. Among its programs, the Persecuted Writer stands out and, since 2007, the Accepted Writer program, in which a writer threatened or persecuted as a result of his work is welcomed for two years.

The award was delivered in Sant Cugat del Vallès.
