Mayors for Peace

For his awareness-raising work for the elimination of weapons of mass destruction, especially nuclear weapons, with the aim that by 2020 the world has rid itself of the nuclear threat, and that a tragedy like the one suffered by cities can never be repeated from Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The award was presented in Barcelona.
