Open Arms

Open Arms is a non-governmental non-profit organization that, since 2015, has as its main mission to protect with its presence at sea those people who try to reach Europe fleeing war conflicts, persecution or poverty.

Since then, it has been dedicated to the surveillance and rescue of the boats of people who need help in the Aegean Sea and the Central Mediterranean, as well as to denouncing all the injustices that are occurring, despite the criminalization of its activity by governments. .

The award was presented in Barcelona.
